Coca-Cola Amatil (CCA) has signed an agreement to take over distribution of Zubrowka Vodka from Spirits Platform on 1 October.

The latest Australia-wide distribution agreement is expected to strengthen the company’s premium spirits portfolio.

Coca-Cola Amatil sales director Tobias Hoogewerff said: “We believe Zubrowka will be a great addition to our strong premium spirits portfolio and we’re excited at the opportunity to help provide future opportunities for growth and to bring new customers to the brand.”

To ensure that the decision does not impact the supply and distribution of Zubrowka Vodka, CCA, Roust and Spirits Platform are working together, which should lead to the avoidance of supply disruptions and minimise the need for additional administration.

Roust Australia & New Zealand area manager said Chris Kennedy said: “I’d like to acknowledge the excellent work of the Spirits Platform team in developing and supporting the growth of the Zubrowka brand over the past few years.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for Zubrowka. We’re very excited at this partnership with Coca-Cola Amatil, a highly regarded supplier in the Australian market.”

Earlier this month, CCA announced changes to its organisational structures and its senior accountabilities. The latest move should integrate the company’s beverage segments across each country of operation.

The restructuring will be part of the company’s transition phase for two years to return to mid-single-digit earnings per share growth from next year.

Coca-Cola Amatil Group managing director Alison Watkins said that the handling of all beverage categories would be in line with geographic responsibilities.
